Paley Park
William S. Paley Foundation has long called One East 53rd Street home. After completing work on the building itself, the Gallin team members turned their attention to the adjacent green space known as Paley Park. A tranquil oasis located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, Paley Park is one of the city’s earliest “vest pocket parks.” Gallin had the privilege of refurbishing the park’s distinctive waterwall, a 20-foot-high cascade of rushing water. Gallin reinstalled coping stones at the top of the waterwall, waterproofed the weir and basin, sealed stones in the waterwall itself, replaced the pump controls, and installed all-new lighting, ensuring that this much-loved water feature will continue to flow for years to come.
