Dan Fink Studio
It’s not often the client is also the architect. But in the case of Dan Fink Studio, Gallin welcomed the collaboration. The inspiration for this modern atelier’s forward-thinking design was, in their own words, the harmonizing of dualities. That juxtaposition is evident in the play of textures and colors: wood against stone, warm against cool. Rich walnut unifies the space, found in custom millwork shelving, pocket doors, wall panels, and room dividers. An interior bi-fold door of dark bronze and fluted glass encloses the conference room, which features a recessed mirrored ceiling. The pantry’s stone-topped island boasts an integrated cooktop that blends seamlessly into the ultra-smooth surface. The restrooms are outfitted with a stone mosaic floor and matching border, as well as custom-fitted stone sinks and pedestals. Elegant, inviting, and impeccably executed, this stunning space is the definition of timeless design.
